Village Bus Service

Hello, we have received notification that a bus service in the village is imminent. I have put below relevant information from the email I have received. Thanks, Jo

Here is the most up to date information about the ECT village bus service which will be starting on Tuesday the 20th October [.....] We are still waiting on ECT to produce printed publicity for distribution.

It will be a regular Tuesday dial-a-ride service which is already familiar to Holwell and Bishops Caundle residents. The number to ring ECT and book is 01258 287 987. The return fare will be £9.00 but completely free for those holding a bus pass.

The timetable for each community is approximate because of the dial-a-ride nature but is as follows:
Dep. Glanvilles Wootton 9.30 then via Sandhills and Barnes Cross to
Holwell 9.40
King Stagg 9.45
Bishops Caundle 9.55
Alweston 10.00
North Wootton 10.05
Arr, Digby Road, Sherborne 10.10 with onward travel to the town's supermarkets by request

Returning from Digby Road at 12.10 pm.
